Music Town: Omaha's Roots Subject of June Second Sunday Talk
Douglas County Historical Society Presents its June Second Sunday Talk - "Music Town: Omaha's Roots" by Dan Cerveny Join local pianist and Omaha Musicians' Association Secretary/Treasurer Dan Cerveny as Douglas County Historical Society celebrates music in Omaha - from its early beginnings at the 1898 Trans-Mississippi Exposition to the vibrant music culture of today. Dan traces the history of the Omaha Musicians Association and recounts the personalities who brought life to the city with melody, harmony and rhythm, including Preston Love, Luigi Waites, Dave Stryker, Arno Lucas and Matt Wallace. The talk will be held June 9th at 2 p.m. in the Mule Barn at Historic Fort Omaha. Reservations are required - reserve your seat today!

Grupo Bronco is a Mexican Grupero group from Apodaca, N.L.. Bronco's modern take on the Norteño style in the '80s and '90s helped earn them a number of international hits.
