Wonder how tequila is made? Tequila aficionados and fans of authentic Mexican cuisine are invited to a special tequila tasting and dinner experience for one night only at Cantina Laredo in Midtown Crossing. Start the evening with a Don Julio tequila tasting, then a four-course dinner complete with a cocktail created for each course.
The Tequila Dinner is Friday, May 17 at 7 p.m. The menu features Grilled Halibut on a Banana Leaf, Grilled Black Peppercorn Filet, Mango Tequila Mojito, Coconut Ice Cream and more:
. Appetizer: Crab Quesadillas stuffed with goat cheese, pico de gallo, crab, chipotle wine sauce and topped with a mango ginger salsa Cocktail: Mango Tequila Mojito
. Soup: Guadalajara Soup, with guajillo chile and vegetables, topped with avocado and queso fresco Cocktail: Sunset-tini, a tequila martini with orange juice
. Entree: Grilled Halibut on a Banana Leaf with roasted red bell pepper almond sauce, cilantro lime rice and sautéed green beans; or Grilled Black Peppercorn Filet with potato confit and sautéed green beans Cocktail: Agave Margarita
. Dessert: Coconut Ice Cream Cocktail: Pinada, a tequila sangrita with pineapple juice
