Graceland Park Cemetery and Paws To Angels Pet Loss Center & Services will be holding the Grand Opening for Nebraska's First Pet Ossuary in a Human Cemetery.
Event: April 12, 2013 at 2pm. Graceland Park is located on the S.W. corner of 42nd & L Streets Omaha, NE - A Pet Ossuary, "Pets at Peace Gardens" is a place of rest and reflection, a place for pet parents to mourn and celebrate their pet's life. "Pets at Peace Gardens" named by Cherie Fry, is a place to honor and remember the lives of pets that have brought years of joy and emotional support to pet families. A Pet Ossuary is a large underground urn for cremated remains.
"There are no standards governing our pet death care so this addition to our community is huge for pet parents who want respectful and dignified treatment of their pet's remains" states Cherie Fry of Paws to Angels Pet Loss Center and Services.
This Grand Opening event will be joined by Taysia Blue Siberian Husky Rescue where they will be interring Maya, a husky that passed while in rescue, who died too young because of the abuse she suffered at the hands of her owners. Jackie Roach founder of Taysia Blues wants this to be Maya's Legacy. Maya will be the first of three pets to be interred. Families of those pets will be joining the Opening for a Memorial Service.
Paws to Angels the first and only full service pet loss center in Nebraska, established in January 2012. "Our promise is to be here for the respectful, dignified, loving aftercare of your pet, to be your journey companion and guide you through this difficult time and celebrate a life remembered. Making certain that the final arrangements for your pet are exactly what you desire in creating a beautiful and lasting memory" said Cherie Fry, of Paws to Angels.
