(Omaha, NE,) Karen Sokolof Javitch, international award-winning songwriter and playwright, who is based in Omaha NE, has released her musical tribute to Steve Jobs. "The Tribute Album" is featured exclusively at Nebraska Furniture Mart. All proceeds from the sale of the CD will be donated to Pancreatic Cancer Research by Ms. Javitch.

"Steve Jobs has done such an amazing job in touching the lives of nearly every human being on this planet, that I thought it would be fitting to dedicate a song to his memory," explained Javitch. "I am so grateful that nationally known musician Chuck Penington (Mannheim Steamroller Grammy Award-Winner) was able to work with me on this project. All too often we forget to immortalize those who have contributed to the advancement of our world and there is no better way to remember people that through a musical tribute. The song titled "It's a Steve Jobs' World" is the main song on my tribute album.

The CD also contains original tributes to Patrick Swayze, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Princess Diana, President Clinton, Warren Buffet and many others. All the vocalists are based in Omaha.

On the 12 CD's Karen has written and produced, singers include actor John Beasley, U.S. Senator Ben Nelson, Broadway singer Joanna Young, Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch, and the American Idol Maynard triplets. Her CD's are recorded at Ware House Productions, Omaha's Grammy nominated studio.
Karen Sokolof Javitch has raised over $280,000 for national and local charities though her original music and musicals. Her shows, including a musical about Princess Diana, have been performed in Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Louis, New York as well as Omaha. Two of her songs have been in movies and she has won 2 Omaha Tag Awards for her musicals.
