SSCA Omaha is hosting two open house sessions. SSCA Omaha is celebrating diversity in Omaha, along with National Welcome Week and the "You're Welcome in Omaha" campaign. You are invited to stop by one of our Open House sessions on Thursday, September 20, 2012 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. or Saturday, September 22, 2012 between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
-Learn about the federal refugee resettlement program and how it is carried out locally in Omaha.
Learn about the programs and services that SSCA provides to assist our new American families begin their new life here in Omaha.
-Learn about the history of the Southern Sudan Community in Omaha and how it has grown to serve refugees from all over the world. Learn about the Bhutanese Community in Nebraska, the Darfur Association for Education and Community Services, the Karen Society of Nebraska, the Somali and Somali Bantu Communities in Omaha.
-Learn about the services that the City of Omaha Human Rights and Relations Department provides in assisting our newcomer friends.
