The Scottish Rite is a fraternal organization with roots extending back to 18th century Europe. The organization was first chartered in Omaha in 1867, three months after statehood. This year, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of breaking ground for the Scottish Rite Masonic Center.
Built between 1912 and 1914 by famed Omaha architect John Latenser, the Scottish Rite has boasted of thousands of members from all walks of life.
Join us on Saturday, July 28, 2012, beginning at 3:00 p.m., as we re-enact the groundbreaking, followed by a history of the Scottish Rite in our newly renovated historic theater and a pasta and Italian sausage dinner prepared by the Culinary Masters.
Cost is $10/person. Call (402) 342-1300 or e-mail micah@SRNE.org for more information.
