The four-time Grammy®-award winner, who last appeared at the Holland Center with his Large Band in July 2010, will open Omaha Performing Arts' 2012/2013 Season.

Cucina Italiana and Love Culture - all firsts to the Omaha retail market - are slated for openings this summer. Additionally, accessory jewelry specialty retailer, Charming Charlie, will open this fall with its third location in Nebraska.

Charming Charlie is the latest to be announced among several new businesses that have opened or will be opening at Village Pointe Shopping Center in 2012, which all totaled represent nearly 30,000 square feet. The new accessory store will feature the company's upscale "lifestyle design layout", with chandelier lighting and attractive wooden merchandising display fixtures, in 6,000 square feet of selling space.

Athletic and active wear retailer, lululemon, will open on Friday, August 3 with grand opening event "Plant Your Passions", a complimentary yoga class on Saturday, August 4 (9 a.m.) in the center court area at Village Pointe. The new store offers women's and men's technical athletic apparel designed for yoga, running, dancing, and more. In addition to their retail lines, lululemon will host a variety of in-store events including complimentary yoga classes led by in-store community ambassadors. The Village Pointe location will be the first lululemon branded store in the Omaha market and will open next to the Ann Taylor store on the center's Main Street.

The Strategic Air & Space Museum is proud to accept a 2012 NASA Summer of Innovation (SoI) Mini-Grant. The museum is one of four organizations in Nebraska to receive this national grant.

The goal of the grant is to support student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by strengthening the capacity of organizations or schools that inspire and engage female, minority or high poverty middle school students in STEM content.

The NASA SoI grant enables the museum to provide an array of hands on opportunities for students who participate in the museum's Super Science Summer Camps as well as its Overnight programs. Activities range from creating, building and programming robots to squishy, slimy, smelly science activities to high altitude ballooning launches that take student payloads into space.

"We are grateful to NASA for supporting our on-going effort to provide robotics and aerospace related experiences to young people in Nebraska," said Strategic Air & Space Museum Director Dr. Scott Tarry. "Fewer and fewer young people are choosing to study science and math, which means fewer will be prepared for to study fields like engineering in college and pursue careers in technology, medicine, and energy. Our museum, through innovative programs and partnerships like the one we have with the University of Nebraska, is working hard to reverse that trend."

For more information about the Strategic Air & Space Museum, visit www.SASMuseum.com or call 402-944-3100 to schedule a guided tour.

The Strategic Air & Space Museum is located between Lincoln and Omaha off of I-80, exit 426 in Ashland, NE. Museum hours are 10 AM to 5 PM Daily and closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years.

Earlier this week the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office released an updated cost estimate of the Affordable Care Act commonly referred to as Obamacare. Earlier this year, CBO anticipated the cost to be nearly twice expensive as originally anticipated. The new score tells a different story, contrasting with the previous one, and reflecting the impact of the Supreme Court ruling allowing states to opt out of the Medicaid Expansion.

Senator John Barrasso, is also an orthopedic surgeon and comments on how the Affordable Care Act will impact patients and providers. The Republican alternative, ways to help control escalating health care costs.

In the Kearney, Neb., office, SCORR hired Jake Williams, information technology/digital media manager; Amanda Schutz, account coordinator; and Braeden Tyma, graphic designer. In the Omaha office, SCORR promoted Amanda Hilliard to trade show coordinator and appointed Heather Hockenberry and Elisabeth Garvin as account coordinators.

The company's dramatic rise in clientele led to the need for more staff.

SCORR Marketing President Cinda Orr said that she is proud to be able to provide jobs to talented Nebraskans in the fields of marketing, advertising and public relations.

"Our new employees have the rare skills necessary to exceed our clients' expectations," Orr said.

Williams formerly worked as a network consultant for Network Solutions Inc. where he gained valuable experience in network upgrades and Windows servers. He will utilize his experience to lead SCORR in creating technology solutions. Williams graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) with a degree in business management.

Schutz, a former intern for Ak-Sar-Ben and an ambassador for Brokaw Marketing, will utilize her advertising and public relations experience to successfully plan and implement client projects. She will graduate in August from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Tyma brings a wealth of knowledge in the graphic design sector as a freelance designer for several local businesses including the UNK Theatre, The Incredible Bulk and Grand Island Central Catholic High School. He graduated from UNK in May with a degree in visual communications and design.

Hilliard is responsible for managing SCORR clients' trade shows in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Hockenberry, a graduate of Hastings College, will be an asset to SCORR clients. She formerly managed the advertising section of the Hastings College student newspaper, The Collegian, and supervised students to ensure projects were completed on time.

Garvin's experience in account planning, public relations and media are highly valuable in her new position. She recently worked for the Maha Music Festival in Omaha and filled internship roles in Fort Worth and New York. Garvin is a graduate of Texas Christian University.
