Fans Congratulate Chef Enzo Zurlo on March of Dimes Auction Honor
Between adding final touches on a catering menu and making sure tonight's beef tenderloins are seasoned to perfection, Chef Enzo is often lured out of the kitchen to receive personal congratulations lately. The popular chef at Zurlo's Bistro Italiano was recognized by many guests at the recent March of Dimes Omaha Signature Chefs Auction.
"About twenty local marvelous chefs prepared samples of their signature dishes," explains Lori Stangl, owner of Zurlo's Bistro. "There was a raffle and live auction...and our Bistro was honored to have received one of the highest bids on our dinner certificate -- around $4100, I believe. Chef Enzo's Salmon Crostinis, Meatballs, Chicken Salad Won Tons, and Tomato Bruschetta appetizers were amazing. I'm not sure, but I think some admirers might be trying to see if the Chef will share some of his culinary secrets."
The night prior to the big auction was busy at the popular local Italian eatery, too. Italian winemaker Nicola Biscardo from Verona, Italy, was on hand to personally highlight a number of fine wines for guests at the Zurlo's September Wine Dinner.
"Each food course during the wine dinner perfectly matched the Italian wine presented," says Stangl. "Chef Enzo is also scheduled to be a featured Chef at the Chamber Member Appreciation event on December 5th from 4pm-7pm at the Chamber office."
Even if Chef Enzo doesn't share any cooking secrets at these events, guests can try the aforementioned appetizers at the Bistro. The savory menu bites are a popular option for both wedding and business catering events.
Other upcoming Zurlo's event highlights include the ongoing Thursday Live Music. Darryl White and Ron Cooley are scheduled to take the Bistro stage on October 24th. Popular Omaha cover band eNVy will finish out the October line up by playing for the Bistro on Halloween night.
Zurlo's has begun taking reservations for holiday parties. Patrons are invited to make their arrangements as soon as they confirm desired dates for events. Dining reservations are also encouraged for weekend evenings to help staff ensure those dining with the finest possible attentive service.

NFC Community Partner Meeting
In order to continuously and accurately provide the best services possible for our children and families, we must work collaboratively with all those involved at an individual and a community/organizational level. To do so, NFC is moving from its format of monthly staff meetings to monthly community partner meetings.
We invite you to join us at these monthly community partner meetings so we can build on what is working and find solutions together to achieve better outcomes for children and families. The monthly community partner meetings take place the second Thursday of each month from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the DC Centre located at 11830 Stonegate Drive in Omaha. Prior to the meeting, light refreshments and social time will take place from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. and includes an interactive discussion about data to formulate solutions that will improve the lives of children and families in our community.
