The survey results are a great way to get local market data to help you benchmark your pay rates and practices and benefit offerings.

NFC holds open house on May 22nd to bring awareness of the critical need for loving foster families.

OMAHA, Neb. - In celebration of National Foster Care Month and NFC's recent COA accreditation, Nebraska Families Collaborative is hosting an open house. Please join NFC, their ten network partner foster care agencies and Project Everlast on May 22, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at 2110 Papillion Parkway, Omaha, NE 68164 (114 & Blondo).

In light of National Foster Care Month, NFC wants to educate Nebraskans about the foster care process and the deep, everlasting rewards that foster parenting can bring. According to the 2012 Voices for Children "Kids Count Report," every day in Nebraska eight children are removed from their homes and enter the foster care system. The need for loving foster families is prevalent right here in Omaha.

This free event will provide information and entertainment for the entire family in an effort to educate the community about foster care. Food and fun children's activities will be available, including face painting, crafts and a cake walk. Those who bring someone interested in fostering or adopting will be entered to win a prize.

Nebraska Families Collaborative (NFC) is a private, nonprofit partnership of five Nebraska-based organizations with more than 400 combined years of experience caring for children and families. Representatives from each of those five organizations (Boys Town, Child Saving Institute, Heartland Family Service, Nebraska Family Support Network, OMNI Behavioral Health) and community representatives provide guidance and vision as members of the NFC Board of Directors. Together, NFC and its partners help families overcome challenges and grow stronger, healthier and closer together.
