How to determine if an email message is phishing

We have all seen it before, the email that makes us do a double-take. It is real? Then, before we know it we have allowed our computer to be compromised by Phishing.

Phishing is a term that is used to describe the process of tricking a user to give information that would otherwise be unknown. An example usually involves a password reset, or asking for account information of some kind.

It can also be used to trick a user to click a link, which then takes a user to a malicious web site.
