Furniture Medic
And CBSHOME Real Estate
reveal overlooked method to accelerate home sales

(Omaha, Ne) Brendan Bonner owner of Omaha's Furniture Medic today revealed a much overlooked method to accelerating home sales and value perception.

"We are all familiar with how important curb appeal is in selling homes" explained Bonner. " the perspective buyer wants a comfort level of homeowner maintenance and attention to detail to insure minimal if an repairs or surprises occur. The seller often overlooks unsightly scratched, dents, poor finish and other signs of non-attention that is commonly found on dining room and kitchen sets as well as cabinets. The pity is it that it is so inexpensive to repair. The homebuyer in most cases will not buy the sellers furniture but could arrive at a negative attitude about home upkeep as a whole."

Michael Rheiner of The Rheiner Crew - CBSHOME added, "Most sellers need to address the forgotten details to get their house sold in the shortest amount of time, for the highest dollar amount. In today's new market with more rigorous lending standards, and higher expectations, buyers simply will not buy seller's unfixed problems."

Furniture Medic is a national franchise company specializing in furniture restoration caused by age, accident, decay and damage caused by natural elements and moving accidents. They are the largest business of its kind in the USA.

The Rheiner Crew of CBSHOME Real Estate is made up of Michael and Tammie Rheiner, along with their crew of 8 children. CBSHOME Real Estate is the region's leader in residential real estate with six sales offices throughout the Omaha Metro area. "Going Through the Big D"
Released as a follow-up to
"I Will Survive"
Is the First Ever CD dedicated to Divorce

(Omaha, NE) Karen Sokolof Javitch, a well-known songwriter and playwright has released her latest CD that is designed to be a long awaited follow-through to Gloria Gaynors' song: "I Will Survive". Her album is titled: "Going Through The Big D" - songs to help you cope with your divorce. It is the first CD ever to be written exclusively about the trauma and recovery from divorce.

In its promotional debut, over 100 radio stations downloaded the title track: 'What will my new life be like after the d-i-v-o-r-c-e?'

"I wrote these songs to evoke different emotions from women who are going through a divorce in the hopes that they will provide encouragement and some humor at this difficult time," Javitch explains. "I would like to think of this album as a 'survival album'. It is my hope that each woman in America whose marriage has ended in divorce is moved by both my music and my message in "Going Through the Big D." Having gone through a divorce myself, I would have loved for a friend to give me this CD. I want other divorced women to know that they are not alone. Gloria Gaynor's song 'I Will Survive' still impacts women today. I hope my album can have a positive, lasting effect." Javitch concludes.

Chuck Penington, conductor of the Grammy Award Winner Mannheim Steamroller band added " Karen Sokolof Javitch's divorce CD - GOING THROUGH THE BIG D is an uplifting listen for anyone who is going through this traumatic time. It's compassionate but not cloying, honest without being brutal, and sensitive but not judgmental. It's intended to inspire."

"Do You have Any Employees Misclassified as Independent Contractors? If so, Now is the Time to Act!"

Presenters:
Pam Bourne, Woods & Aitken LLP & Ryan Johnson, IRS Presentation:

It is critical for employers to correctly determine whether individuals providing services are employees or independent contractors. The IRS formerly used what has become known as the 'Twenty Factor' test.

Under pressure from Congress and from representatives of labor and business, it recently attempted to simplify and refine the test, consolidating the twenty factors into three main groups: behavioral control, financial control, and the type of relationship of the parties. This presentation will review both tests used to determine if a workers is properly classified as an employee. We will also review the IRS's Voluntary Classification Settlement Program, which provides taxpayers with an opportunity to reclassify their workers as employees for future tax periods for employment tax purposes with partial relief from federal employment taxes.

On Friday, November 23rd, DeVetter Fitness is working together with Open Door Mission and other local businesses to collect 250 toys for less fortunate children. Anyone who donates will receive a free Turkey Buster Workout!

One of the Open Door Mission's important goals is to collect new toys for boys and girls of all ages. Without these donations, over 6,000 Omaha area children would be without Christmas presents this year. Donating just one toy will make a huge difference in one child's life.

In exchange for bringing one or more toys, you can burn off the extra calories the day after Thanksgiving by participating in one of DeVetter Fitness's rapid results training sessions. Participants will go through both cardio and strength training exercises using TRX equipment, kettlebells, dumbbells, and more to help burn off the extra calories.

If Friday's sessions all become full, DeVetter Fitness will still take toy donations and give out a free session voucher to use at a later date. People who wish to participate in the toy drive and free Turkey Buster Workout must RSVP by calling 402-301-8657, or by visiting turkeybuster.viprespond.com.
