KEYNOTE: "Election Crystal Ball--Possible Election Outcomes and Their Effect on HR Professionals"

Speaker: David Kramer, Baird Holm

TOPIC:
With the 2012 election just 4 short weeks away, David Kramer will analyze both the national and local political landscape. While David admits he is a partisan, he will combine his 37 years of political experience along with his 22 years of employment law experience to provide us with insight into what the possible election outcomes may mean for human resource professionals and the companies we work for.

Technical Sessions #1 Speaker: Chad Richter, Jackson Lewis "Labor Law Lessons"

Topic:
This session will address the many changes from the National Labor Relations Board that impact all employers (union and non-union) and what to expect for 2013. Chad will also discuss numerous policies that have been found unlawful by the NLRB and how to create policy manuals that comply with the new stringent standard adopted by the NLRB.

Technical Session #2 (Strategic) Speaker: Chris Hedican, Baird Holm "The Legislative Horizon"

The Obama Administration has increased its use of executive orders and the regulatory agencies as it faces continued congressional obstacles. Autumn Not Putting the Chill on Fun at Zurlo's

Thursday Night Live Music....Cooking Lessons from Chef Enzo....wedding and football party catering....a breathtaking assortment of delicious new menu specials. These are a few highlights waiting for guests at one of Omaha's favorite Italian Restaurants as the tree leaves turn golden.

The excitement starts with Zurlo's Bistro putting the finishing touches on their September Live Music line-up. Each Thursday, from 5-8pm, patrons dropping in for a Happy Hour cocktail, appetizer and/or dinner will enjoy several of Omaha's most popular local musicians.

Chris Saub (Sept 13th), Sandy Coon (Sept 20th) and eNVy (Sept 27th) are set to dazzle guests -- while they also enjoy fall breezes and entrées like the Abruzzo Panini & Mixed Green Salad.

Weather permitting, the musical performances are featured on the restaurant's popular outdoor patio.

"Chef Enzo is one of those artists who truly, absolutely loves what he does," laughs Zurlo's Bistro owner Lori Stangl. "He''d spend every single minute in his kitchen cooking and creating if he could!"

Stangl is probably right. In addition to spending his usual hours at the restaurant, Chef Enzo Zurlo enthusiastically created several catering dishes for those attending the 2012 Hope in the Heartland event last month.

Prosciutto-Wrapped Melon appetizers delighted numerous guests - including Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman -- as did the Zurlo's Caprese, Chicken Won Tons and the fresh Zurlo's Fruit Plate.

Chef Enzo also makes it a priority to be personally involved in helping create all menu selections for periodic winners of the Big 'O' 101.9 radio station lunch contest. Station listeners may hear personality Dave Wingert enthusiastically call Enzo' 'an artist' on the airwaves as Chef Zurlo delivers and describes the catering dishes to lucky Omaha office workers.

Picture highlights and video options are available for both the Hope in the Heartland and select 101.9 events via the Zurlo's website within the 'About' section. http://www.zurlos.com/about.html

Lunch specials at Zurlo's Bistro Italiano start at $8 and weekend specials are often conveniently announced via Facebook and Twitter.

Arrangements for Husker party catering, holiday events and wedding celebrations are expected to hit their full stride as calendars turn to September.

Guests are invited to check out the website menu and then call 402.884.9500 to make their reservations.

RED by John Logan Directed by Susan Clement-Toberer (September 27 - October 20, 2012) 2010 TONY® Award winner for Best Play Master abstract expressionist Mark Rothko has just landed the biggest commission in the history of modern art, a series of murals for New York's famed Four Seasons Restaurant.

In the two fascinating years that follow, Rothko works feverishly with his young assistant, Ken, in his studio on the Bowery. But when Ken gains the confidence to challenge him, Rothko faces the agonizing possibility that his crowning achievement could also become his undoing.

Raw and provocative, Red is a searing portrait of an artist's ambition and vulnerability as he tries to create a definitive work for an extraordinary setting.
